One thing about the menu name
On our menu board and in the ordering app this category is listed as “Shiwwish”. It is our own spelling and it has confused enough people at the counter that it is worth saying plainly here: these are grilled sandwiches.
What they are is bread pressed on a grill with the filling inside until the outside has proper lines on it and the cheese has gone. What they are not is a cold cut sandwich assembled in advance.
They are also the quickest substantial thing we make, which matters more than it sounds if you are between classes, between trains, or on a lunch break with a meeting after it.
