Why we opened at this end
Katpadi is not a suburb of Vellore so much as a second centre of it. The junction brings people in and out all day, VIT puts thousands of students within a short ride, and the stretch along Katpadi Road has its own rhythm that has very little to do with what is happening near the fort six kilometres south.
For a long time that meant a choice between eating on campus, eating at the station, or making the trip into town. Our Silk Mill branch exists so that is no longer the choice.
It runs the identical menu at identical prices to our original kitchen in Sankaranpalayam — same recipes, same suppliers. The difference is who walks in and when.

First floor of Sai Complex, directly beside the Fastrack showroom, which is the landmark most people navigate by.
Short ride from Katpadi Junction
Close enough to be worth it between trains, and much better than eating at the station.
Easy trip from the VIT campus
One of the busiest spots for the campus crowd in the evenings, which tells you most of what you need to know.
It is upstairs
Worth knowing in advance if stairs are difficult — the Sankaranpalayam branch is at street level.
When it is busy, and when it is not
Evenings from six to nine are the peak, and heaviest at weekends — that is the student rush, and a group arriving unannounced at eight on a Saturday will usually be waiting for a table.
Afternoons are the quiet stretch. If you want somewhere to sit with free WiFi and not be hurried, that is when to come.
For a group of eight or more at any time, call 97892 90974 first. There is a hall upstairs and it is far better to have it laid out before you arrive than to rearrange a full room around you.

Is the Katpadi branch the same menu as Sankaranpalayam?
Identical — the same nineteen categories, the same recipes and suppliers, and the same prices. The two branches are about six kilometres apart, so pick whichever is nearer you.
Can I order at my table in Katpadi?
Not yet. QR table ordering is live at Sankaranpalayam and coming soon to Silk Mill — order at the counter here for now. Takeaway and delivery through Kivo, Zomato and Swiggy work from both branches.
What time do you open in Katpadi?
10 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week, the same as our other branch. The evening rush runs from about 6 PM.
